Strange Nay Pyi Taw
Welcome to one of the world’s most peculiar capital cities. In earlier round-ups we had already written about the strange phenomenon of the city of Nay Pyi Taw, which will be celebrating its 10th birthday this year . The city is like nothing else you’ll find in Burma as it has 20-lane highways, reliable electricity, fast wifi, clean streets and several golf courses. However it seems to miss one critical ingredient to really become a fully operating city: people… the main purpose at the moment is that of a government seat.
